The "Drac de Sitges", was introduced during the "Festa Major" of 1922, arriving at Sitges by ship. Today, it still continues dancing in the Sitges traditional party "Festa Major", exactly the days 23rd and 24th August and the 22nd and 23rd September, Santa Tecla's Party, that it's also known as "Festa Major Petita", dancing all around Sitges streets. The "Drac de Sitges" belongs to the traditional folk dances of Sitges, specially the fireworks dances, where they dance together with the fire. Twenty drums come with them, joining fire colour and powder smell, giving an infernal atmosphere.
